hope this isn't anathema here :-) but does anyone have a recommendation/source for good battery tea lights? I prefer not to use real candles...

Re: battery tea lights?
Wed, November 26, 2008 - 9:46 AMI found some great ones at Michaels, and some crappy ones at michaels. The ones i liked were in their own little frosted glass tea light, and you couldn't see the fake flame. They flickered beautifully and the audience was completely fooled, and it was theater code friendly. I switched the on, and then used poster putty to stick them to the bottom of a larger clear glass votive, and it worked great.
The other ones I didn't like had these big fake bulbous flames on top of a squat white plastic cylinder. Some didn't work, and they looked cheap. -

Sun, November 30, 2008 - 9:07 AMyou know what, I just remembered.......
at the Durga Tour Tempest was selling some battery tea lights that looked very realistic and were really nice. They were a little pricey, but if you want to contact her here on tribe, I would. Here is her profile in case you don't know her (although I bet ya do)
